Continental Motorsport ABS for Racing, Track & Time Attack
Continental Motorsport ABS is a professional race ABS system engineered for high-performance track cars, time attack builds, and endurance racing. Designed specifically for motorsport use, it delivers maximum braking performance, consistent wheel slip control, and exceptional stability under extreme deceleration.
Every system is supplied with a bespoke vehicle-specific calibration, ensuring optimal performance across different drivetrain layouts, chassis configurations, brake systems, tyres, and aerodynamic loads.
This is a true racing ABS, not a modified road-car system.
Why You Need a Motorsport ABS on a Track Car

- Designed specifically for racing: Motorsport ABS is engineered for high deceleration rates, slick and semi-slick tyres, large brake systems, and sustained track use — conditions where road-car ABS systems are not optimised.
Maximum braking efficiency: By continuously controlling wheel slip at the tyre’s optimal grip point, motorsport ABS allows the driver to brake later and harder without wheel lock-up.
No “ice mode” behaviour: Unlike many production ABS systems, a true racing ABS does not reduce or disable intervention at low wheel speeds, eliminating unpredictable braking response and ensuring consistent control all the way to corner entry.
Improved stability under braking: Controlled brake pressure modulation increases vehicle stability during threshold braking and trail braking, especially at high speed and under aerodynamic load.
Higher corner entry speed: Stable, repeatable braking enables smoother transitions into the corner, increasing minimum entry speed and improving overall lap flow.
Reduced lap time: The combination of shorter braking distances, later braking points, and increased confidence typically results in a measurable lap time reduction, commonly in the range of ~0.5–1.0 seconds per lap, and up to ~2.0 seconds per lap on braking-intensive circuits.
Consistency over a session: Motorsport ABS maintains braking performance despite tyre wear, heat buildup, and changing grip, reducing lap-time drop-off over long stints.
Tyre protection: Minimising wheel lock-up reduces flat-spotting and uneven wear, helping maintain peak lap time for longer.
Bespoke Vehicle Calibration (Included)
Each Continental Motorsport ABS system is individually calibrated to the specific vehicle it will be installed on.
Calibration parameters include:
Drivetrain layout: FWD / RWD / AWD
Engine & chassis layout: Front Engine / Mid Engine
Wheelbase, track width and vehicle mass
Front / rear weight distribution
Tyre size, compound and construction
Brake system specifications:
Caliper piston sizes
Disc diameter and thickness
Pad friction characteristics
Aerodynamic load compensation
This ensures correct brake pressure modulation and slip targets matched precisely to the vehicle’s dynamics.
Both GT and GT3 specifications include bespoke calibration as standard.
